Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov met with OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media Teresa Ribeiro in Baku on April 25, the ministry reported.
According to the ministry, the sides exchanged views on the work currently being carried out in Azerbaijan in the field of media freedom.
Bayramov emphasized the importance of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the OSCE in all areas.
The minister informed the OSCE representative on the current situation in South Caucasus, steps taken to normalize relations between the two countries, as well as the activities conducted by the Azerbaijani government in the liberated territories.
Ribeiro also talked about her rich program during the visit to Azerbaijan and thanked Bayramov for detailed information. The OSCE representative outlined the role of media in confidence-building measures in the region.
The importance of continuing the dialogue between the parties has also been stressed, the ministry said.
